Interbay Substation and 69 kV Transmission Line Project

This application displays Photo Simulations completed on the Interbay Substation and 69 kV Transmission Line Project. Photo Simulations allow stakeholders to visualize proposed project design changes through the use of photography and highly detailed 3D renderings. 3D renderings are composited into existing condition photographs to provide "before and after" scenarios. This technique helps stakeholders understand what proposed conditions will look like when built.

How to use this application

Click each Photo Simulation icon on the overview map to access a birds-eye view of the area. A secondary icon will appear allowing access to the Photo Simulation. Click and drag the slider on each simulation to transition between the existing and proposed conditions.
 
Interbay Substation and 69 kV Transmission Line Project
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Tampa Electric will construct the new Interbay Substation at 7750 Interbay Blvd. The project also includes a new 69-kilovolt (kV) power line that will run 1 mile north along the west side of Manhattan Avenue, east on Coolidge Avenue, where it will tie into an existing line at Iowa Avenue. Several poles in the existing line along Iowa and Clark avenues will be upgraded. This equipment is needed to serve growth at MacDill Air Force Base. Construction is planned to start in March 2016.
